Tracy Anderson Metamorphosis GRAND results: before and after pictures

It is nearly 6 months since I started TAM now. I started in February with a little bit of DC and mat DVD. Then I started Meta on 20th of February. I finished it on July 28th. Yes, it took me waaaay longer than 3 months. 5 to be precise. So Meta took me longer to finish. But I did in the end. I am now on to Continuity, but that is all a different story.

Today I wanted to share with you some of my Meta results. Long promised. Long awaited. As I mentioned before, I was a bit reluctant to post anything, as - well truth be told - I was not eating my best in the past 2 months of Meta. Don't get me wrong, it was mostly healthy (with very very very rare food binges), but it was not really a diet - i.e. it was quite a lot of food in the end. But then, I am addicted to good food. I love it. I cherish it. I can't live without it. So being in Switzerland for a month, I just could NOT not eat cheese cheese and cheese. All the raclettes, fondues, cheese platters... Plus my bf was taking care of me - which he did absolutely amazing, anyone can envy me - but it meant we ate a little more than i normally eat. And he also spoils me like crazy - so I had M&M's and Raffaellos almost every day. Sigh.

So... well. Bottom line - diet was NOT the best last 2 months. But then it all showed me how much the Meta workouts can do for me to keep up with what I achieved. So obviously I did not lose any weight in the past 2 months (which is fine with me - I already reached the upper boundary of my goal weight). I also think I became less skiny. But then, I also feel I became more shapely in the right places, muscley - also in the right places, but not bulky at all. You can't really see the muscle, but I - I can feel it! Yeay! :)

All in all, great good Meta did to me. I did not stress too much about missing days at times, and repeating levels when necessary. Meta made me more organised, and hell - now I know I can do it. The first 2 weeks kilos were running away from me - honestly! The energy, the strength, the confidence that I feel now are so great, that even if I did not lose any kilos, I would have still loved it. :) But I did, and I am happy. I also lost at least 1 size in clothes - I'm wearing confident 34 now, and very tight 32. Before it was 36-38. People notice that I lost weight, and tell me so, even though I didn't really need to lose so much. And I think the biggest change happened somewhere mid-way (even though I was already off diet), because even the least observant people noticed the change in me - the main reason for that was that finally my face caught up with the weight loss, and became a bit less round. :)

I love the way i look in a bikini. I bought TONS of new clothes - and what a pleasure it is to buy closes smaller and see them fit you well and nice! I love the new dresses I bought - and coming soon the dirndl! Will show you the pretty little thing I bought for the Oktoberfest I am going to in September.

So pictures are bellow. :) I am so proud of myself, I can't stop beaming. And today the workout was great, I added wrist and ankle weights for MS, what a pleasure!

The love handles became so much smaller, and now they are kinda cute... Not hanging, but sexy. :) My butt has never looked like that - it is round and out there. I never had a round butt! I'm honest. I thought I would live my life with a flat butt. And here you go: a cute round butt!

All in all I lost around 9 cm in the waist and hips (each), 2 - in arms, around 10 in bikini area, and 8 in thighs. It might not be so visible, but I did have to buy new jeans - all the old ones were hanging on me! I love that I am toned, but not over-muscley. The only thing that I still want to work on is the thigh area, esp inner-thighs. :) Omni Continuity it is :)
Good luck to everyone who are only starting or in the middle and not getting results - you will! I love how TAM works, and am going for now to continue doing it. :)

    1. Anja, thanks a lot! I am trying hard, and I love the movement really. The change that I have seen and experienced is amazing, and I wish everyone the same! Are you doing Meta? If so, what level are you on? Good luck with that!! If I can do - the master of procrastination - than anyone can! :)

  3. I don't know if anyone else notice or not but you also lost in the breast area or tone. The middle part of your swim suit is closer together. Thank you for sharing because I keep starting over and when I first found the dvds, there were no reviews out there. I have the omnicentric one but I must say that my before and after was a shocker after only about 10 days. Though I had way more to lose than you. I have gone from 182 to 150. My goal is to be between 135 and 140. You look really good!!! I think that TAM is a genius if any of you read how she came up with the workout in her book, she studied medical books and the muscles. I am 44 and it is pulling my body back in too. This is really helpful, JLo used it too and that helps too, to watch an older woman pull in after twins.

    1. Hi! Thanks, yeah I noticed that too. I started measuring my chest from the beginning. While my Bra cup didn't really change (I have been doomed for A cup since I was a teenager), the size really changed - I think I lost about 5cm there (went from size 80A to solid 75A). That's kinda neat :)))

I'm so happy to hear about your great results! I think the most difficult part of TA is commitment - and it requires a LOT! But losing 32 pounds is GREAT!!!! Well done! I know you can reach your 135-140 if you stick with it! Good luck!!!

    1. Hey there! Thanks and good luck! It's a tough journey, but it is doable! And in regards to negative reviews - anything has negative reviews, you just have to decide whether you want to try it for yourself anyway. I think success happens only when you find the positive for yourself - so try to make it work for you, and even if it doesn't, its OK. It means there is something else for you that will work. Don't beat yourself up for bumps - its normal and good luck!!!

    2. A bit late commenting :) I am happy founding this blog as well as I just started my journey :) I read many negative comments, but one thing I can say is, that there is no one training for everybody. for example I hate jogging and I can say it is bullshit and it doesn't help, but it doesn't really mean it doesn't help only because I don't like it. So there will be always somebody negative about new things :)

  5. WOW!!! That's amazing. Damnnn, I actually already love your figure when u first started in the first place! I was just wondering, I've been doing TAM for almost 2 months now. I am noticing ALOT of difference on the upper body!! I am really thin up there. My butt has also slim down. it's my legs that are somehow not looking any different. My thigh gaps are huge but my actual size of my thighs are still HUGE. I don't even think it reduced in size. I am a typical pear shape so I guess it's hard. I really love the dance cardio but I do it pretty much 6 times a day and I find it's actually bulking my calve muscle. I saw yours reduce by a bit... do u reckon it just takes time??

    1. Hey there! Thanks!

It is funny you say that about legs, cos even though there are so many "leg moves" in MS, it takes them longer than anything else to tone up - I noticed that too. I do think it takes time. And it won't be too visible in the end anyway. DC doesn't bulk me, but if you don't like what it does to your calves, I would try to bring down the jumping a little. As for the thighs, I also have the least progress there (only lost about 2 cm), but I feel they are toning up: you know, now when I wear shorts or hot pants and sit down, I don't feel completely uncomfortable :)))). I think the main thing is give it time and effort! Good luck!!!

    2. Yea I started doing Dance cardio for about almost 2 months. I think my calve muscles are still bulky (ITS ANNOYING D: ) and I dont have much patience haha. I do feel it starts to tense/bulk because I jump along with her but I tried "step touch"/not jumping very much and I dont rly sweat... so it feels like I am not burning as much fat :(
I guess I shall endure! Hopefully I will see results soon :L

    3. Hey there! It's interesting that you get bulk... :) I was just getting much more muscle-y calves, but not too bad - I actually liked it cos my legs are thin, and it was nice to shape them a little. Good luck anyway! Keep me posted how it is going for you! :)

  6. Hii!! Here's another comment followed by another question: how tall are you and what weight did you have at first, when you were a 36 size?
    Thank you so much!!

    1. Hi, Julia! I am 163 - so quite short... Size 36 is a kinda medium, it is equivalent to about 10 in UK sizes and 8 in US. I was 58 kilos and went down to 52. Not so much in the beginning, but with being short, it did feel like I needed to lose some inches and kilos. I am now struggling a little to keep the weight, but so far it is OK. Didn't gain too much, still fit size 34 :)
      Cheers,
      Liuba

  7. Hi, Awesome results, congratulations..
I have cellulite on the whole lower body. What META do you recommend to reduce this?
    thanks in advance
PS: sorry for my bad english

    1. Hi! No worries about your English - I myself can't boast of excellent English, not a native speaker myself.

I would think you can choose hip- or glute-centric, as it concentrates more on the lower body. But the main thing is not cellulite - everyone has it, I had lots on my thighs as well (and it is going away, but quite slowly). The point is to target you body type - then it will be most effective for you - and for your cellulite too. If you gain weight primarily in your hips - its hicentric, if in your butt - it's glutecentric. You can also try to see where you have cellulite more... :)

Good luck and all the best,
      Liuba.

    2. Liuba, thanks so much...
for the cellulite, i have lots on my thighs and my buttocks..
for the gain weight it's primarily on thighs and hips..
what do you think about that?
      thanks

    3. sorry, it's me again..
ca i get great results if i do the toning exercises witout her cardio? or if i alternante cardio and toning? for example, i do today toning section and tomorrow 30 minute of cardio? thanks so much

    4. Hey there! Well, I would say that if you gain first and mostly in your hips and thighs, it is hipcentric. Again, every single meta will work your whole body - abs, arms, hips, thighs, butt, it would just concentrate a little bit MORE on your problem area. So if you choose hipcentric, you would still work on you butt. I love omni cos it really works everything and I have seen a change everywhere. My primary problems are inner thighs and love handles, and generally I gain weight evenly everywhere. So I think hipcentric would work for you - and hey it shares ever other level with OMNI - so you won't neglect any of your body parts :)

Also, did you try to do this calculator on TAM website: http://tracyandersonmethod.com/body-type-calculator/?ref=main-menu

    5. HI :))) Generally it is better to do both, even if you do only say 20 minutes of DC (dance cardio). If you really don't like it, you can also do some other cardio of your choice. The point is it is better for your MS (muscular structure) if you do it with cardio. Cardio strengthens your heart and lungs, and stamina in general. So without it you might soon reach some of your limits in MS. You prob could do it in turns, but again - it depends on how much weight you also have to lose. If it is a lot, set yourself for cardio. I try to squeeze in at least 10-15 minutes of cardio and if I really don't have time, I make sure I do MS as often as possible (5-6 times a week when I can, but I have not been good as of lately). Note, if you really want results - you have to stick with it, even for maintaining. I have gained a bit back (nothing bad, but I can notice it) since I only had time to work out like 3 times a week and without cardio. So, it is up to you, but at least till you reach your goals, I recommend to go with everything. If you can't do DC for any reasons, try a rebounder, or any other cardio you like.
      Cheers!

    1. Hi :) There is a Beginner Dance Cardio DVD - it is hard to get your hands on, but you could try ebay. There is also the original Dance Cardio DVD. But I would recommend to try the Meta DC. First, you don't have to learn combinations for it. This actually put me off a lot from the original DC DVDs. Yes, it might be a little difficult in the beginning to follow her, but you get a hang of it already after a couple of days and believe me, by the end I could dance it nearly without a dvd. :) Second, you can make it a little easier for you - first start with step-touch, then move up. start with 5 minutes and move up to 10, then 15 and so on. Third, it is only 30 minutes - that is fast and you burn a LOT of calories once you get good in it. So, generally, I would recommend the Meta DC. :) Even though to be honest I don't like the music there too much (I just turn it off and play my own playlists), and you get tired of it. But it does do some good for you.
